DevClip은 클립보드 내용을 개발자에게 전송하지 않습니다. 네트워크를 사용하는 기능과 데이터 처리 방식을 아래에 투명하게 설명합니다.

DevClip은 클립보드 내용을 개발자에게 전송하지 않습니다. 현재 기기 밖에서 처리될 수 있는 정보는 아래에 설명한 링크 미리보기 요청, Apple을 통한 결제·선택적 진단 공유, 그리고 사용자가 자발적으로 보내는 지원 문의뿐입니다.

  • 클립보드 히스토리: 복사한 텍스트, 이미지 및 파일 참조는 사용자의 Mac에만 저장됩니다. 기본 저장소의 클립 텍스트·제목·이미지 데이터는 디스크에 기록하기 전에 암호화됩니다. 파일 접근용 북마크, 복사 출처 앱 정보 및 링크 미리보기 캐시는 macOS 기본 형식으로 로컬에 저장될 수 있으며 개발자에게 전송되지 않습니다. 사용자가 이미지를 외부 앱으로 열면 복호화된 PNG가 macOS 임시 폴더의 $TMPDIR/devclip-open에 생성되고 다음 DevClip 실행 때 삭제됩니다. 그 전에 사용자가 직접 삭제할 수도 있습니다.
  • 링크 미리보기 네트워크 사용: 링크 미리보기는 기본적으로 켜져 있으며 설정 → 개인정보에서 끌 수 있습니다. 켜져 있으면 DevClip이 복사한 공개 HTTP/HTTPS URL, 해당 호스트의 아이콘, 그리고 페이지가 지정한 대표 이미지 주소(다른 공개 호스트일 수 있음)에 직접 요청합니다. 해당 웹사이트와 이미지 호스트는 IP 주소 등 일반적인 네트워크 정보를 받을 수 있습니다. DevClip이 명시적인 로컬·사설 호스트 이름이나 숫자 주소로 식별한 주소는 요청 대상에서 제외합니다. 가져온 제목과 이미지는 사용자의 Mac에 로컬 캐시될 수 있습니다.
  • Apple 진단·사용 분석: App Store 버전은 사용자가 macOS에서 Apple 및 개발자와 진단·사용 정보 공유를 선택한 경우 Apple이 제공하는 App Analytics와 크래시 리포트를 사용할 수 있습니다. 현재 0.6.35에는 별도의 개발자 자체 분석 SDK나 크래시 수집 서비스가 없습니다.
  • 광고 추적 없음: DevClip은 앱에서 얻은 데이터를 다른 회사의 앱·웹사이트 데이터와 결합하지 않고, 타깃 광고나 광고 성과 측정에 사용하지 않으며, 데이터 브로커에 판매하거나 공유하지 않습니다.
  • 비밀 보호: 비밀번호 관리 앱이 macOS 표준 비밀 마커와 함께 복사한 내용은 기록하지 않습니다. 브라우저에서 복사된 비밀번호 형태의 텍스트는 가려서 표시하고 설정된 시간이 지나면 자동 삭제합니다. 사용자가 해당 항목을 고정하거나 폴더에 넣으면 자동 삭제하지 않습니다.
  • 인앱 결제: App Store 버전의 Pro 구매와 결제 처리는 Apple이 담당합니다. DevClip은 StoreKit을 통해 구매 자격만 확인하며 카드 번호 같은 결제 정보에는 접근하지 않습니다.
  • 지원 문의: 사용자가 이메일로 문의하면 DevClip은 발신 주소와 사용자가 보낸 메시지·첨부 파일을 답변과 문제 해결에 사용합니다. 문의 자료는 지원과 보안상 합리적으로 필요한 기간 동안 이메일 서비스에 보관될 수 있으며, 사용자는 아래 주소로 삭제를 요청할 수 있습니다. 클립보드 내용, 라이선스 키, 비밀번호나 불필요한 개인정보는 보내지 마세요.
  • 삭제: 개별 항목은 앱에서 삭제할 수 있습니다. “히스토리 비우기”는 고정된 항목과 폴더에 넣은 항목을 보존합니다. 모든 로컬 데이터를 제거하려면 DevClip을 종료한 뒤 사용한 배포판에 따라 ~/Library/Application Support/DevClip, ~/Library/Preferences/com.nuasa.devclip.plist, ~/Library/Containers/com.nuasa.devclip 및 $TMPDIR/devclip-open의 해당 데이터를 삭제해야 합니다. 앱 파일만 휴지통에 버리면 데이터가 남을 수 있습니다.

향후 기능 사전 고지 — 현재 0.6.35에서는 비활성

  • Direct 버전 라이선스 검증: 향후 Direct 배포판은 라이선스 활성화·복원·부정 사용 방지를 위해 개발자가 운영하는 라이선스 서비스에 접속할 수 있습니다. 이 경우 입력한 라이선스 키, 앱·macOS 버전, 무작위 설치 식별자와 요청 시각이 전송될 수 있으며 서버는 통신 과정에서 IP 주소를 받을 수 있습니다. 클립보드 내용은 전송하지 않습니다. 현재 버전은 키를 기기에서만 검증하며 이 통신을 하지 않습니다.
  • 선택형 자체 진단: 향후 버전은 사용자가 명시적으로 동의한 경우에만 앱·macOS 버전, 무작위 설치 식별자, 집계된 기능 사용 횟수, 성능 및 충돌 진단 정보를 분석 서비스로 보낼 수 있습니다. 클립보드 텍스트·이미지·파일 경로·복사한 URL·키 입력·비밀 내용은 포함하지 않습니다.

위 기능을 실제로 도입하기 전에 앱 내 선택권과 철회 방법을 제공하고, 서비스 제공자·보유 기간 및 App Store 개인정보 표시를 이 방침과 함께 갱신합니다.

DevClip does not send clipboard content to the developer. The only information that may currently be processed off-device is described below: Link Preview requests, payments and optional diagnostics shared through Apple, and support messages a user chooses to send.

  • Clipboard history: Copied text, images, and file references are stored only on your Mac. Clip text, titles, and image data in the primary store are encrypted before being written to disk. File-access bookmarks, source-application metadata, and the Link Preview cache may be stored locally in native macOS formats; they are never sent to the developer. When you open an image in another app, DevClip writes a decrypted PNG to $TMPDIR/devclip-open in the macOS temporary directory. It is deleted the next time DevClip launches and can also be removed manually before then.
  • Link Preview network use: Link Previews are enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings → Privacy. When enabled, DevClip directly requests a copied public HTTP/HTTPS URL, an icon on that host, and a preview-image URL declared by the page, which may be on a different public host. Those websites and image hosts may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address. DevClip excludes addresses it identifies explicitly as local or private hostnames or numeric addresses. Retrieved titles and images may be cached locally on your Mac.
  • Apple diagnostics and usage analytics: For the App Store edition, DevClip may use App Analytics and crash reports that Apple provides when the user has chosen in macOS to share diagnostics and usage information with Apple and developers. Version 0.6.35 contains no separate developer-operated analytics SDK or crash-reporting service.
  • No advertising tracking: DevClip does not combine app data with data from other companies’ apps or websites, use it for targeted advertising or advertising measurement, or sell or share it with data brokers.
  • Secrets: Content copied by password managers with the standard macOS concealed-content marker is not recorded. Password-shaped text copied from a browser is masked and automatically deleted after a configurable delay. It is not automatically deleted if the user pins it or places it in a folder.
  • In-app purchase: Apple handles purchases and payment processing for DevClip Pro in the App Store edition. DevClip uses StoreKit only to verify purchase entitlement and cannot access payment details such as card numbers.
  • Support messages: If you contact support by email, DevClip uses your sender address and the message and attachments you provide to respond and troubleshoot. Support material may remain with the email service for as long as reasonably needed for support and security. You may request deletion at the address below. Do not send clipboard content, license keys, passwords, or unnecessary personal information.
  • Deletion: You can delete individual items in the app. “Clear History” keeps pinned items and items placed in folders. To remove all local data, quit DevClip and delete the applicable data under ~/Library/Application Support/DevClip, ~/Library/Preferences/com.nuasa.devclip.plist, ~/Library/Containers/com.nuasa.devclip, and $TMPDIR/devclip-open, depending on the distribution you used. Moving only the app itself to the Trash may leave its data behind.

Advance notice of future features — inactive in version 0.6.35

  • Direct-edition license validation: A future Direct edition may contact a developer-operated licensing service to activate or restore a license and prevent abuse. In that case, it may send the entered license key, app and macOS versions, a random installation identifier, and request time; the server may also receive the IP address used for the request. Clipboard content will not be sent. The current version validates keys only on the device and makes no such request.
  • Optional developer-operated diagnostics: A future version may, only after the user expressly opts in, send the app and macOS versions, a random installation identifier, aggregated feature-use counts, performance data, and crash diagnostics to an analytics service. Clipboard text, images, file paths, copied URLs, keystrokes, and secret content will not be included.

Before either feature is introduced, DevClip will provide in-app controls to opt in where applicable and withdraw consent, and this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated with the service provider and retention period.
